Williams

ASSOCIATE PASTOR

Rev. Marcus A. Williams—gospel preacher, visionary, and worshipper—was born on February 11, 1983, in Beaumont, Texas. He is the son of Pastor Allen C. Williams, Jr. and 1st Lady Bertha Williams. He attended Ozen High School where he received his high school diploma in 2001. He also is a 2003 graduate of Lamar Institute Technology where he received a degree in Utility Line Operator. Marcus has been a faithful and active member of his home church, McKinley Avenue Baptist Church, under the direction of his father and pastor Rev. Allen C. Williams, Jr. As an adolescent he was very engaged in the church ministry, he was part of Sunday school, a member of the choir, as well as apart of the junior deacons.

On the last Sunday in December of 2007, he heard the voice of God calling him into ministry and his reply was, “Yes.” With that yes, Marcus preached his first word from God on February 28, 2008, at his home church McKinley Avenue Baptist Church. As an associate minister, he saw a need for the youth and young adults and with that, he became the visionary for forming a youth and young adult ministry which he orchestrated and led the annual Youth and Young Adult Revivals. He is now a part of Love is the Cross Worship Center where he is actively involved in serving the ministry, under the leadership of his uncle, Pastor Jerry Young.

He is married to Alisha Williams whom he refers to as his ‘’PICTURE OF PERFECTION” and with their union they are a blended family of six with four beautiful children two daughters and two sons—Lauren 20, Christian-Jade 12, Dar’Tavien 23, and Dalyn 17.

As a profound bible teaching minister, his desire is to preach and practice the word of God. With his favorite scripture being Psalms 34:1 he strives to teach God’s word in such a way that it not only reaches and touches seasoned saints but relays the word in a way where the people of this and the upcoming generation can understand and see that following Jesus Christ is the only and the best way that they will survive the things that we are encountering in this world today.
